Everything To Know About The New GoPro Hero 5
GoPro. Inc., founded by Nick Woodmen in 2002, has specialized in creating the most revolutionary, small, portable, and rugged cameras on the market. These cameras are specialized for anything; whether it’s for mild activities to extreme sports, these cameras will capture any moment or experience that can make anybody look like a pro.
So what’s so new about the GoPro Hero 5? Well, there are three cameras people can buy, The Hero 5 Black, the Hero 5 Session, and The Hero Session. The GoPro 5 Black starts at $399.00 whereas the Hero 5 Session starts at $299.00, while The Hero Session start at $199.00 . The main differences between the cameras are the touch screen (only on the Hero 5 Black), photo quality, video stabilizer, voice control, and location services. The GoPro 5 Black contains all of these plus more, which is what will be highlighted in this article.
1.Voice Control
Yes, you read correctly, the GoPro Hero 5 Black has voice control. As stated by Founder and CEO of GoPro, Nick Woodmen, “Voice control makes Hero 5 less of a device and more just part of the experience.” The camera will respond to multiple commands such as “GoPro Turn On” or “GoPro Take A Picture” which will be followed by a rapid beeping signaling the camera heard you. On top of that, the Hero 5 supports seven different languages, making its abilities free to use for people in different countries.
2.Touch Screen
If ease of use was your problem with your GoPro, the new two-inch touch display on the new camera might help. As stated by Founder and CEO, Nick Woodmen, “It is as easy to use as a smart phone.” The touch screen allows for anyone to adjust their frame rates, time, date, camera angle, and screen brightness, as well an easier way to scroll through pictures and videos.

3. Water Proof
That bulky water proof case is not longer an issue with the new camera. The camera can withstand up to 10 meters (33 feet) of water without a case, allowing for easier use under water. And with rubbered borders and a more rugged design, skiing without a case shouldn’t be any issue. However, as for deep sea divers, a water proof case is available for purchase allowing the camera to dive to even deeper depths.
4. Video Stabilizer
Remember the moment going over those moguls on your brand new skis? Bouncing up and down, knees pumping, poles thrusting, and beads of sweat glistening. Then when you view your footage, all you can see is a jumble of white mounds, body parts, and the tips of your skis. With the new video stabilizing system (now in each version of the GoPro 5), the moment you remember will be the moment you see. The technology is similar to that of how a chicken moves its head. If you ever get the chance to pick up a chicken try this: SLOWLY move the chicken up and down or rotate it in a vertical circle, notice how its body moves but its head virtually stays in the same place? This is because most birds cannot move their eyes due to no reflexes to compensate for movement. To make up for this, chickens have reflexes in their necks to compensate for motion, which explains why they never move their heads while moving their bodies. Just so, the camera senses the movement and keeps the angle of video steady with very little shaking.
The GoPro Hero 5 is a revolution in action filming technology, with its sleek black color, ease of use, and better video quality. With this new camera, buyers can not only share their experiences but make any moment an epic one.

How does the video quality of the new GoPro compare to the old one? Have their been any improvements to the resolution and/or frame rate?
