Funny and Embarrassing Stories
If you’ve ever had an embarrassing or funny moment, you’ll probably be able to relate to this list of anonymous stories from Air Academy students.
“When I was younger, I went to the mall once to shop at Wet Seal. I was feeling sick that day, and I realized that I had
to throw up. There was nowhere to go so I ran into a fitting room as a last resort and threw up on the floor. Then, I was so embarrassed that I just left without telling anyone about it.”
“About a week ago, I was about to take a shower, and I realized that I had forgotten to grab a change of clothes. I ran out of the bathroom to get them from my room, assuming no one was in the hall. My dad was on the stairs texting on his phone, and when we saw each other we both yelled. He said, ‘Oh my god!’ and we didn’t talk after that. It was really funny, but awkward and embarrassing.”
“In science one day, class had ended and everyone started to get up to leave. I was waiting for the person next to me to leave and then I sneezed and hit my head on the table. I thought that no one saw it, but apparently both my teacher and the person next to me did. They stared at me awkwardly and then looked away.”
“Within the first few weeks of school at Air Academy last fall, I was walking to class and started to go down the stairs that connect the courtyard to D building. Then, my feet suddenly went out from under me because I stepped on the edge of a stair, and I fell on my butt. My hair flew in my face, so I wasn’t sure who saw, but I’m sure a lot of people were laughing. My friend talked to me a little bit later and we laughed about it.”
“I was on a first date with a guy I really liked at the mall. We ordered food and were walking, when all of a sudden I ran into a pole, fell backward onto him and knocked the food out of his hands. Luckily, that day didn’t matter in the long run because we dated for 10 months.”
“I used to live in California, and one day my friend and I went to the pool. While we were walking there, my friend saw someone she thought she knew, so she called out their name. However, the person wasn’t who she thought it was, and they started quickly walking in the other direction. Later, when we arrived at the pool, a similar thing happened. I saw my best friend from childhood, Niko. I jumped in the pool and splashed him directly in the face while shouting, ‘Niko!’ The kid looked at me oddly and said, ‘I’m not Niko.’ I then said, ‘Well this is awkward,’ and swam away.”
“It was sophomore year and track season was over. I went to go ask Mr. Routsong when the track banquet was going to be. So I walk into class and say, ‘Hey Mr. Routsong!’ in response he says, ‘Hey loser.’ ‘What time does the track banquet start?’ I ask. He says, ‘At 6’ and then I scream, ‘o’clock?’ I was so flabbergasted that it caused him to look at me with an expression that seemed as though he had just smelled something disgusting and conveyed that I was very stupid. He then said, ‘Did you really just ask me that?’ After, he just pointed at the door and said, ‘Get out.’”
“When I was about 12, I had the house to myself and as soon as I thought everyone had left, I began singing at the top of my lungs. After about 5 minutes, my dad yelled my name from outside, and I stopped abruptly. I said, ‘Yeah?’ and he asked if I was singing and why. I said, ‘Yes, and because I felt like it.’ Embarrassed, I walked away from the window and left the room, and later just acted like nothing had happened.”
“One time I was climbing over the seat to get out of a car to go get sushi. I lost my balance and fell face-first on the concrete. My legs were in the air, still in the car, and next thing I knew there were four guys from Air Academy who came up to the car and they were like, ‘Hey Madi!’ It was really embarrassing.”
“I had just met this guy, and I was eating an orange. Then he told me that he hated the smell of oranges and I said, ‘Really? You hate the smell of oranges?’ He said, ‘Yes, it makes me sick.’ I kind of laughed and proceeded to thrust the orange in his face, telling him to smell it multiple times. After freaking him out, one of my friends that was there said, ‘Maybe you should leave.’ So I left, feeling embarrassed but amused.”
