As Valentine’s Day arrives, girls and women across the country endlessly search Pinterest and Instagram for outfit ideas that will perfectly fit the date night they have planned.

Whether it be “galentines day” or a formal date at The Melting Pot, choosing an outfit and makeup that make you feel beautiful and confident can help ensure the night will be off to a great start.

To save you some last minute Pinterest or Facebook scrolling, I compiled a list of surefire, comfortable, and fashionable looks for whatever your Valentine’s day has in store.

Date #1: Staying In

Sometimes staying in can be the most fun way to spend a Valentine’s Day. Personally, I would go to my staple look: leggings and a cuter top. For Valentine’s Day I would spice it up with pink leggings or a pink/ red top like the one below. (Leggings can be found on lululemon.com.)

“I’d wear sweats with long socks and a crew,” says Nicole De La Fuente, referring to an indoor date outfit. (Picture found on Pinterest.)

As far as date ideas go, “I’d order food and watch movies,” says junior Bridget Newsome, offering up her idea of a fun time. “Just have a chill night.”

Date #2: Casual Night Out

With a high schooler’s budget, a casual night out at El Vicinio’s offers the perfect combination of a low-budget dinner, yet still a night out. Jeans, fun sneakers, and a cute sweater is the perfect way to slightly dress up your casual dinner. “Ripped skirt with boots and a cute blouse is the best in my opinion,” commented De La Fuente while scrolling through Pinterest. “A sweater with black ripped jeans and booties” is Newsome’s go-to for a casual dinner.

A great, easy, and casual place for dinner is El Vicinio’s (recommendation courtesy of Whitney Moran). For dessert, try Summer Sweet or Coldstone!

Date #3: Fancy Dinner

If you’re looking for a romantic way to end your Valentine’s Day look no further than a fancy dinner downtown. Even though the setting is fancy, you can still be comfortable and fashionable on your night out. “Nice jeans, booties, and a sweater” was De La Fuente’s choice. (Picture found on Pinterest)

Newsome instead opted for “a nice dress with thigh high boots and a leather jacket.” (Picture found on Pinterest).

For a dinner date on the fancy side, The Melting Pot is offering Valentine’s Day deals and is a fabulous place to go for a special treat!

When picking out your Valentine’s Day outfit, remember comfort and functionality are key strategies. No matter where you go, you’re sure to have a blast.
