Whether it’s for spring break or the summer, there’s music emerging in various places among us ready to be heard. The best part is if you are planning on going somewhere for vacation, chances are you might be lucky enough to score a show in the same visit!

South by Southwest Music Festival is great for people who enjoy listening to artists that are not as well-known, and are trying to take a lift off in their career. Not only does this festival have music, other days are specifically organized for emerging films and interactive meetings, which  aim to develop new technology ideas. The line up in the past has been artists such as Lady Gaga and Charli XCX, the 2015 lineup is still to be mentioned, but the main purpose of this festival is to showcase new talent.

Coachella is a renowned music festival that has headlined numerous big artists. The festival consists of two weekends, April 10th-12th, and April 17th-19th. Many celebrities are known to frequent this music festival; Katy Perry even used to sneak into the festival when she was younger. Apparently, she would get in her car and go up to the security acting like she was part of the show, saying that she was extremely late and had to get in immediately, so they would let her come through. Held in the desert of Indio, California, it is one of the biggest music festivals in the U.S., with 2015’s lineup ranging from artists like Drake to Jack White and even AC/DC.

Pushing more into the summer time, the Governors Ball in New York, NY is from June 5th to June 7th. It would be a great time being able to visit New York and hear some of the best that music has to offer! The 2015 highlights include Drake, the Black Keys, Lana Del Ray, and many more.

Warped Tour will be going on its 21st year, so this series of shows definitely has some history. From June 19th-August 8Th the tour hits several places throughout the US and is most likely a more convenient festival to attend, since it stops in more than 40 cities. Some of the main headliners this year are The Wonder Years, Neck Deep, Metro Station, and Motion City Soundtrack. The festival ranges from pop to metal core to hip-hop, and the lineup has been continuously updated for the last couple of months.

Ohio is not a popular state for music festivals, but since summer vacations and such will be underway, some of you may be visiting the lovely state. In Cincinnati, Ohio from June 5th to the 7th, the Bunbury Music Festival takes place. The festival is going to play many artists that are more on the alternative side such as Walk the Moon, the Black Keys, The Avett Brothers, Brand New, Twenty One Pilots, but there are also others like Snoop Dogg that will be attending too.
