Winter Makeup

Welcome back, Kadets! I hope you enjoyed your winter break, but though our break has come to an end, the chilly season is still here. To my ladies, who are bundled up with their leather jacket, knitted scarf, and combat boots, here is my favorite winter makeup look and products.

When it comes to the colder months, I don’t mind wearing more makeup. I look pale, even sick, because of my olive skin tone. So when it comes to foundation, I love love love “Luminous” by Bobbi Brown. It is super thin, but covers completely. If you want a lighter coverage, try Laura Mecier. It’s a tinted moisturizer, and no matter the season, “nude” is my color. Then after, I lightly powder my face with Bare Minerals in Medium Beige. This locks your foundation so it doesn’t smudge. If I am looking a little vampirish, I will use a little bronzer. I like Two-Faced for a darker color, and Rimmel for more of a glow. My last step on my face is my blush! I love Lancome’s blush in a very soft pink!http://tennesseenole.tumblr.com/post/72942016629

For my eyes, no matter the season I always use my Naked palettes. For the original Naked palette, I use “Sin” on my inner corner, “Sidecar” all over the lid, “Buck” in the crease and “Smog” on the outer lash line. That’s probably the most natural winter eyeshadow. For Naked 2 I use “Bootycall” in the inner corner, “YDK” all over the lid, “Tease” in the crease, and “Snakebite” on the lash line. This is a much more glamorous eye look, since “YDK” is shimmer. Now if you like the crisp cranberry color, in the Naked 3 palette, use “Dust” in the inner corner, “Buzz” all over the lid, “Mugshot” in the crease, and lastly smudge your lash line with “Darkside.”

I’m not talking about the beautiful, bright red Taylor Swift rocks. I’m talking about the dark, blood red that looks cold, sharp, and dangerous. One of my favorite lipsticks is Dark Wine (522A) by Wet’n’Wild. It is very affordable, ringing up at only $1. The only down side is you will find yourself re-applying it a few times. If you want the color to stay shoot for a more expensive brand like Nars, Sephora, even CoverGirl.

Now if you want to set your makeup, spray your face with Urban Decay makeup setter, which works magic. There you have it, my favorite makeup look! I hope you love this look as much as I do, and I’ll see you all next month.
