Colorado is known for it’s beautiful mountains, fresh water, and thin air, but take a stroll down Old Colorado city and Manitou Springs and you can find the most unique and charming clothing stores.

Lets first look at some of the stores Manitou Springs has to offer. After living there for 2 years, I have found many I like, such as the Piramide Clothing company. This unique store has a very different sense of style. Piramide specializes in natural fiber clothing and enviro-friendly rayons that are easy to wear and easy to care for. Some of the things they offer are:

~Colorful Batik and Tie-Dye

To my fellow hippies, a store you’ll love is the Hemp Store. It is the oldest store in Colorado dedicated to hemp. This store has a lot more to offer than meets the eye. If you look past the weed merchandise.. They sell clothing and accessories made 100% by hemp.

For my people who are on a budget, go to The Ten Spot. “Gifts & accessories, everything is $10.00 or less. Hats, scarves, sunglasses, jewelry and much, much more! It’s shopping with no regrets.” (ManitouSprings.org)

Lastly, for my Coloradans, we have the Mountain High Sports wear. They sell all of the biggest outdoors names, North Face, Merrell, Teva and Columbia. They sell a ton of jewelry, and make great fudge. I bought a dream catcher necklace there 2 years ago and I still love it.  So this store might not be unique in their clothing, but their accessories and fudge are to die for. It’s also a wonderful place to buy souvenirs, definitely one of my favorite places…mostly because of the fudge.

Now that you have seen some of the stores in the most unique part of Colorado, here are some of my favorites from Old Colorado City.

When I went through my tribal print phase, this was the place to go. Bella Boutique, has great clothing and a very native taste. There’s more than just some tribal print leggings though, they have beautiful skirts and cardigans!

BOUTIQUE 2421 POINT 5, is definitely one of the most unique stores I have seen. It is a very old fashion style, with corsets and big skirts. But hey, some people are into that.

There are so many unique stores, in both places, but those were just a few of my favorites. If you get the chance and have a little cash go check them out! I hope you like them as much as I do.
