“I love watching shows because most of them are really funny and interesting to watch. You can almost imagine yourself in the show when you’re watching it,” says freshman Antanazia Jordan.

With a plethora of shows airing everyday on television, finding the perfect one may be a difficult task. Finals are coming up and watching a quality show is one of the best ways to wind down and relax. This list of suspenseful, dramatic, and comical television shows will keep its viewers entertained for as long as they go on. Take some time to chill out and happy binging!

5. The Walking Dead

Airing since October, 2010, the hit AMC series follows the lives of a man named Rick Grimes, his family, and other followers as they venture through Georgia during a zombie outbreak. Receiving a review of 8.6 out of 10 by critics, the show has been successful for almost 8 years. The show has been known to provide heartbreaks, cliffhangers, and uneasiness to its audience. Although the show is super interesting and has an amazing story line, it may not be for everyone. Several parts of the show are extremely graphic and violent, so viewer discretion is advised. Aside from that, the show is extremely well-written.

4. The 100

This utopian, sci-fi, post-apocalyptic fiction is about a group of 100 criminal teenagers sent down from the space station that they have lived on their entire lives. They experience Earth for the first time after a nuclear explosion made the Earth uninhabitable for humans. The rebellious group of teens tries to survive the Earth as their parents and leaders watch from above, hoping that it’ll be safe for them to join. The 100 provides a dramatic story line while including some science in it every now and then.

3.  Friends

Friends is based a upon a fictional group of six friends (hence the name “Friends”) living in New York together experiencing the everyday obstacles of life. Airing its first episode in 1994, the show lasted a whole ten years before its series finale. The show has received a 9.2 out of 10 from critics, making it one of the best shows out there. The combination of comical and dramatic episodes makes the show worthy of anyone’s time. Famous actors, such as Jennifer Aniston and Matt Leblanc, are featured in the show, adding another reason as to why it is so great.

2. Riverdale

Based off of the original Archie ComicsRiverdale is about a group of high school friends and their parents after the mysterious disappearance of teenager Jason Blossom. Airing its first episode in 2017, the show has received a tremendous amount of support. The show is known for its amazing cinematography and its incredible story line. Those who watch Riverdale won’t regret it.

1.  Stranger Things

Set in the early 1980s, this sci-fi show brings government secrecy to a whole new meaning. As a group of middle school kids adventure to find one of their own after he ends up missing, they come upon information and events that change their perspective of the world. The Netflix Original first aired in July 2016; and since then, it has received tremendous support and positive ratings.
