Best of Class of 2017
From start to finish, the Senior Class of 2017 has had a handful of achievements that have improved the Air Academy and the students within the school. The Jetstream Journal would like to say congratulations to the seniors and wish them good luck as they continue their lives outside of the Kadet community. With graduation coming up, let’s take a look back at all of the achievements from this year’s Senior Class.
School Clubs
Seniors this year have worked tirelessly in many of Air Academy’s clubs. No Place For Hate has grown very influential this year thanks to the hard work of its club members and their outreach towards other students. Grace Koloski, a senior in the club, said that he loves being a member and believes that it can grow even more than it already has. National Honor Society is another club that will miss their seniors, the club’s senior officers have played a huge role in orchestrating the Dream Dash 5K to support this year’s Make A Wish kid, Amya. Their goal is to get Amya a trip to Paris and so far the club has been very successful in doing so. There are many other clubs that will miss their seniors as well. Hopefully, the juniors will be able to leave as big an impact next year as the seniors did this year.
Sports
Seniors play a big role in all sports teams, and they will be truly missed. Many of Air Academy’s marching band is made up of seniors and they mostly served as great role models and leaders to those below them, hoping that the juniors can step up next year to take their place. To name a few, both boy’s and girl’s soccer, golf, basketball, swimming, track, lacrosse, and more will all be missing their seniors next year. They have led their teams to victories and helped their teams through difficult losses. The seniors have been very influential this year and will be missed by all of their teammates.
Other
The artwork produced by the seniors this year has been beautiful. Senior Kadets have won art shows and amazed viewers with their artwork. Mr. Kadet this year was also hilarious, the seniors did a great job of filling the night with laughs and talents that will never be forgotten. The plays that were produced were moving and had great acting from the handful of seniors who took part in it, especially Pride and Prejudice.
The Senior Class will surely be missed, their achievements will leave a lasting effect on Air Academy. Matt Parker, an Air Academy Senior, says that he believes the senior’s biggest achievement is, “The work we have done to help others, especially in clubs like No Place For Hate and Link Crew.” He also said, “I will miss this school and the friendships that I have made, but I’m also excited to see what is to come.”
On behalf of the entire Jetstream Journal, I wish the seniors good luck in the future and want them to know that they will be missed.
Oh hey! My name is Cole P., and I am a junior at Air Academy. I work hard and have a passion for writing. Also, I am considered a bit of a legend around...
