Jenny Beth Maynard, Managing Editor
People often refer to me as the Captain, due to my daring nature and ability to lead masses of people across storming seas unharmed. And even if people don’t actually call me Captain, and though I have never truly led a crew of ambitious men in the face of treacherous piracy, I’d like to think that my reality can become anything I will it to be. I live to dream big and I dream big to get through the day. I am tragically old-fashioned, and in this unfortunate day in age, my record player and hand-written letters are deplorably undermined by pixels and screens. Though the irony suits my luck, I am the Managing Editor of this online newspaper. In retaliation of this thing people call “technology,” I run the Flashback column in order to commemorate articles and ideas and words written so long ago; words that have no digital record and will in no other way be guaranteed preservation. But I digress… In all seriousness, I am again thrilled to be a part of this legendary, unprecedented high-school newspaper.
