Scene and Heard

As much as I don’t want to admit it, Justin Bieber’s new album Purpose gave me a new perspective on his music. Obviously most people who listen to the radio have heard his single “Sorry;” but just like that song, there are many hits within the album itself.

My personal favorite is “Love Yourself” because it seems like it is going to be a song with nice lyrics due to the melody. However, lyrics such as “You think you broke my heart ohhh girl for goodness sake you think I’m crying oh my ohhh, well I ain’t!” Basically, the whole song criticizes the girl.

The only thing I did not like about the album was that some of the songs start to sound the same after a while, which makes sense since most albums follow a type of theme. However, there are 19 songs on the album, so it gets a little old.

Justin Bieber did mix it up though, by featuring Travi$ Scott, Big Sean, Halsey, and Skrillex in his list of songs, it definitely added some mixture within the songs.

I liked the album for the most part. I would have liked to hear some more meaningful lyrics, rather than just repeated the same ones, like “No Sense,” but I can only have such high of expectations for Justin Bieber. For people who are interested in seeing Justin in concert, you’re in luck. He comes to the Pepsi Center in Denver April 4th (for $119 dollars at the cheapest).
