Isaiah Amparan is our male athlete of the month. The senior golfer who holds the number one position for our team has been off to a hot start this season, winning the Elizabeth Invitational in August. Isaiah recently qualified for the State Golf Tournament with a great score of 83 at Shining Mountain in the Regional Golf Tournament. When speaking of the win at the Elizabeth Invitational, Isaiah stated, “It was a good win that I am proud of, but I still have room to improve.”
Ashley Pagan is our female athlete of the month. The senior hitter on the volleyball team is expected to have a big year, and is listed as a key player for the team by the Colorado Springs Gazette. Last year, Ashley was a key player in the playoff run for the Kadets. Over the summer, Ashley announced that she would be playing volleyball at the next level next year in college at the College of Idaho. She announced the decision on Instagram over the summer, saying “VERY excited to say I have verbally committed to College of Idaho! Thankful for all of you who helped me get here! Go Yotes!” This year, Ashley will look to lead our volleyball team through the state playoffs.
