Mexican, Italian, American, Asian, restaurants vary in type, price, and location. Read further to learn about the mouth-watering options in the Colorado Springs area and to discover those places most suited to your tastes (no pun intended).

Restaurants all have different types of food items, environments, and service. Additionally, convenience and speed play a significant role. Those who want “fast food” often settle for food that doesn’t always taste good or isn’t always exactly what is desired. But there are a few pretty choice places that are quick and just as satisfying in taste as reliability.

To name a few, Chipotle (Mexican), Chick-Fil-A (American), and Panda Express (Asian) all have good service, relatively good food, and a pretty quick wait time. Also, pizza places like Papa Murphy’s, Domino’s, Blackjack Pizza, and Papa John’s, among others, are usually a quick and easy solution for the individual to large group. While not all of these options are healthy, they are simple and fast, which is good for those who have a need for speed.

Some further options that are relatively quick, but also have seating could include Noodles & Company (with a great variety of pasta), Pei Wei (Asian), Qdoba (Mexican), Panera Bread (American), and La Casita (Mexican). Only slightly higher in pricing at times, these are just as qualified to fall under the good eats and quick service category. Additionally, all places are in the nearby area, with many on Academy (very close to the AAHS) and some in the Woodmen and Rockrimmon area. Similar in pricing, but not as fast could be Five Guys Burgers and Fries, Smashburger, and Buffalo Wild Wings.

Some medium to slightly pricey places that are pretty good include On the Border (Mexican), Zio’s (Italian), Old Chicago (Pizza), Chile’s (American), Cheddar’s (American), Outback Steakhouse (American), Amanda’s Fonda (Mexican), and the Asian restaurants,  NaRai Thai,  Jun (sushi), and Lemongrass Bistro (Vietnamese). On the more expensive end, restaurants like Hacienda (Mexican), Biaggi’s (Italian), Bonefish Grill (all types), P.F. Chang’s (Asian), Il Vicino (Italian), and the Mona Lisa (fondue) all make for a great time, perfect for celebrations or just a nice evening out with the family and friends.

A few places with some top notch ice cream could include Cold Stone Creamery, Baskin Robbins, The Coffee and Tea Zone (Rockrimmon), and Josh & John’s. Along the same lines, there is also some awesome frozen yogurt offered at places like SummerSweet and LuLu’s, and some delicious smoothies mixed at locations like Keva Juice and Jamba Juice. Furthermore, there are often some pretty great desserts at any medium to expenisively priced restaurant; thus, desserts can serve as a nice way to top off a good meal (if you’ve got the extra cash). Sharing is allowed!

Additionally, there are multiple places that serve great breakfast, brunch, and lunch. On the lower end Einstein Bros., IHOP, Village Inn, or Denny’s both are quick and fun if you have a large group, and not much time, or you just want to have breakfast at a lower price. Loof for local gems such as Wade’s Cafe, Mountain Shadows Restaurant, The Pantry in Green Mountain Falls, New Day Cafe, and of course the Omelette Parlor. Also, Starbucks (yes, Starbucks!) has some pretty awesome breakfast sandwiches, in addition to its all-time, every-time popular coffees and teas. Some medium priced breakfast restaurants could include the Egg & I, Over Easy, and Cracker Barrel. Finally on the higher end (but oh so good) could include the Sunbird Restaurant or The Broadmoor (both are perfect for significant events or celebrations).

In any case, next time you go out to eat, consider all your options, and maybe try something new, or visit a place you don’t go often, according to your price range, preference, and location. All in Colorado Springs, and all (mostly delicious) there is a great variety of places to choose from for any occasion. Have a fantastic time with family and friends and happy eating!
