Q. Why did you choose to swim?

A. My mom started me with lessons when I was young, and I love the water!

Q. Have you done any other sports? Like what?

A. I did lacrosse my freshman and sophomore year, but later on I wanted to focus my time on swimming

Q. Who is your role model and why?

A. My role model is Kirstin Walker; I look up to her because she is a great swimmer. She also used to go to Air Academy and swim on the team.

Q. What events are you good at?

A. I’m good at the 100 meter fly and the 200 meter free. I wish that I could do the backstroke and breaststroke better to improve my IM event.

Q. What is the atmosphere of your team like?

A. We are very team oriented, close knitted; we always do a positive cheer for the other team and we support each other win or lose.

Q. Does your team do anything outside of practice?

A. Pasta parties! It gets us excited for the upcoming meet and fills us with carbs.

Q. Do you work out to music?

A. No, we aren’t allowed to, but before a race we all listen to music to get pumped up.

Q. Is there anything else you would like to add?

A. I am really excited and looking forward to the season, such as seeing the girls improve.

Q. Why did you choose to play basketball?

A. I chose to play basketball mostly because of my friends, since I have been playing with them since I was young.

Q. Have you done any other sports? Like what?

A. I have played football, soccer, and baseball.

Q. Who is your role model and why?

A. My role model is my dad. I try to shape my high school career after him, such as taking AP classes and playing basketball.

Q. What is the atmosphere like when your team wins and loses a game?

A.  Obviously when we win a game we are really excited, and when we lose a game we are a little disappointed. We win as a team, and we lose as a team.

Q. Does your team do anything outside of practice?

A. I would say we don’t really do anything outside of practice, other than the usual team dinners like other Air Academy sports teams do.
