“Is that a world tour or your girl’s tour?” This line from Drakes hit single,”Back to Back,” was a culminating moment in the feud between Meek Mill and Drake, which began with Mill accusing Drake of not writing his own raps. Throughout time there has been a number of musical disagreements, and these rank among the best.

  1. Nicki Minaj v Lil Kim – This feud began sometime in 2007 and resulted in what is considered one of Minaj’s best verses in Kanye West’s “Monster,” in which she states that her pay is 50 times that of Lil Kim’s. Lil Kim shot back with an album called “Black Friday,” a riff on Minaj’s popular “Pink Friday” album.
  2. Johannes Brahms v Richard Wagner – This began with a manifesto written by Brahms attacking Frank Liszt and it began the “War of Romantics”: a period of time in which prominent composers argued over the use of traditional versus more progressive musical forms with some people attending Brahms piano concerto and hissing and booing the performance.
  3. Mariah Carey v Nicki Minaj – It all started on the 12th season of  American Idol in which Carey and Minaj were slated to judge together, along with Randy Jackson; in later interviews, Minaj admitted that she may have provoked the feud, stating in her TV special that Carey felt some of the spotlights might have been taken off of her.
  4. Soulja Boy v Chris Brown – When Atlanta rapper, Soulja Boy of  “Crank That,” fame tweeted at Chris Brown stated he would like to beat down Chris Brown “for Rihanna,” rumors of a fight between the two were floating around. Chris Brown began by asking for a professional fight against Soulja. The most recent of which is that the two will duke it out in Dubai sometime in March. This fight has to be organized by champion boxer, Floyd Mayweather, who has promised to train Soulja Boy.
  5. Taylor Swift v Kanye West – With the memorable 2009 VMA’s when Kanye West promised to let Taylor Swift finish her acceptance speech, a feud spanning seven years was sparked, culminating most recently in the debate over Kanye West’s “Famous” lyrics, in which he proclaims that he made (Swift) famous. This line contained derogatory terms which Swift claimed she did not approve; however, a phone call between West and Swift, leaked by Kim Kardashian, showed Taylor Swift approving to the line in question; this resulted in the popular hashtag “Kim exposed Taylor party.”
