Our female athlete of the month is Captain of the AAHS girls basketball team Katelin Gallegos. Katelin is a key player on the team and is really looking forward to her senior season. The girls team lost no seniors from their previous season and have high hopes for this winter. When asked what she was looking forward to this season she said, “I’m looking forward to coming back and playing with almost everyone from last year. Expectations I have for this season is to build off last year, improve, and be competitive.” The girls  have very good potential this year and we wish them the best of luck, go Kadets!

Our male athlete of the month is musician Alec Chai. Alec plays the oboe, piano, alto saxophone, and the soprano saxophone. He has been playing instruments for 11 years and has proven himself to be a star player, performing solos in the AAHS marching band and playing on the radio. When asked about his roll in the band and his goals for his music career he replied, “I hope to be a professional musician in a major orchestra, but in band I try to help lead people through my music and to help people appreciate the beauty of classical music.”
