Is your fall look falling like the leaves this season?  Do you need a splash of masculinity in your outfits?  These six tips can help you spice up your style and will make you look your best while the fall season is upon us.

Flannels: The main event of any fall outfit starts with a colorful, thick, warm flannel. The versatile flannel can be styled two different ways, classy or rugged. For all you classy men, you would want a thinner, bright colored flannel tucked in with a nice leather belt. If you desire to bring out your inner lumberjack wear a two-toned fleece flannel, preferably red. If you’re searching for a cheaper version of flannel, peruse an American Eagle or Sierra Trading post for sweet deals and low prices. If you’ve got some dough to throw, hit up a Patagonia or L.L. Bean.

Khakis: A must have staple for any man’s wardrobe is a fresh pair of chestnut khakis. The three c’s for the perfect khakis are Comfortable, Casual, and Classy, making them a functional, yet fashionable article of clothing. The cherry on top of the perfect khakis pant is a single roll at the cuff.

Fun Socks: Whether it be stripes, polka dots, sail boats, flamingos, or pine trees, funky socks are a great way to add a pop of pizzazz to your fall outfit. Your true personality can be expressed through the design of your abstract stockings. When picking out your socks you can travel in two directions; the first is to match the color of your “mannel” (Man Flannel), or you can add your own flare to your outfit.  This contrast of footwear to the outfit will be the perfect compliment to any autumn background.

Leather Working Boots/Chukka Boots: When picking out the perfect shoe for your outfit make sure that it matches your theme of either classy or rugged. A pair of leather working boots is perfect to add to your manly lumberjack style. Nordstrom carries a large selection of “rugged boots” for all your manly needs; the only downside to Nordstrom is that their pricing can range from 150-400 dollars. For a cheaper pair of working boots, you can check your neighborhood Goodwill as well as Sierra Trading Post. If your look is classy, then the snazzy chukka boot is for you.  Nordstrom carries these boots as well, but once again they can come with a serious price tag. Sweaters: If you are not a fan of the rugged yet classy flannel, a warm wool sweater is for you. When choosing your sweater, a dark red, dark orange, or gray sweater can accent the color of the fall leaves and will surely make the ladies come running. An outfit containing a sweater is not complete without a nice collared shirt to hide behind your majestic sweater. A collared shirt should complement your eyes, for example, men with blue or brown eyes should wear a light blue button up; but with green or yellowish eyes, wear a seafoam button up.

Down vest: When your flannel can’t contain your steamy look, a down vest will help you stay warm on those chillier days and still look downright manly. A black vest is a neutral color that compliments any color of any outfit.
