The GREAT Wolf Lodge
Slip and slide into Colorado Springs newest hotel, The Great Wolf Lodge. The Great Wolf Lodge is a chain of hotels that has spread throughout the United States. Finally, the chain is coming to Colorado Springs and locals couldn’t be happier! It is said to open December 26th, 2016. The location is 9494 Federal Dr, Colorado Springs, CO 80921. The Great Wolf Lodge is a fun filled hotel for all ages. From water slides to arcades, everyone can find something fun to do! Their attractions include a kid spa, climbing wall, bowling alley, mining company, ropes course, adventure park, and, of course, their famous indoor water-park. According to Cole Miller, “I kind of know what The Great Wolf Lodge is, I will go depending on the prices of the resort”
The water-park includes the mountain edge raceway; a water slide that drops you head first for a thrilling four stories! The Wolf Tail is a high speed 360 degrees loop that drops 20 feet. Hold on to your swim bottoms because these water rides are fast and fun for the adults and older kids of the family. For the babies and little ones of the family, don’t worry they have rides for you to! The Whooping Hollow is a perfect sized slide for the “under 48 inches” kids. The Cub Paw Pool is a zero-depth entry pool perfect for kids who don’t seek the water slides but the water guns, and water skis! Get ready to be sprayed with water if you enter the Cub Paw Pool! Now finally something that captures all the family members eyes; Fort Mackenzie. Fort Mackenzie is a fort water tree house which includes many levels of water toys, slides, and of course the big bucket full of cold water getting ready to tip right on top of your head. With many other exciting rides to visit, a top thriller is the Big Foot Pass. Jump, slide, and skid across these unstable logs to reach the other side. These logs are fun and slippery, you will definitely have to use your arm and legs muscles for this attraction.
Even though The Great Wolf Lodge is known for their water park, they have many more offers that the whole family will love including the Rustic Ridge Climbing Wall, it is a 21ft. climbing wall fit for any age at any level. The only requirements for the wall is you must have closed toe shoes, and also you must be a certain height. Many more attractions await at The Great Wolf Lodge in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This hotel is a great way to bond with family and friends, if you are just looking for the water park and looking for a resort to spend the night at, unfortunately only quests staying at the resort have access to the water park, but the rooms in the resort can be just as fun as the attractions! They have everything from a standard suite to a themed suite, fit with a wolfs den and a “kid kamp” which is perfect for a fun stay for the little ones. Kids can get board with a standard room at a standard hotel but with these themed rooms these kids will have no problem with getting a good nights rest after a fun day in the parks. Now that you know what the resort is all about go stay a night or two at new The Great Wolf Lodge in Colorado Springs!
